OpenAccess PDK for SiGe BiCMOS process

AWR, a specialist in high-frequency EDA platforms, has developed an Open Access based process design kit (PDK) for austriamicrosystems S35 0.35µm silicon germanium (SiGe) BiCMOS process. The PDK, which is part of AWR's Analog Office RFIC design suite, includes Monte Carlo simulation models and a set of Open Access (www.si2.org) PyCells, developed using Ciranovas PyCell Studio.

austriamicrosystems S35 process targets circuits that operate at up to 10GHz and beyond. Available devices include high-speed and high-voltage bipolar transistors, NMOS and PMOS transistors, capacitors, resistors, spiral inductors, electrostatic discharge and RF pad structures. The PDK also contains the electromagnetic (EM) stack-up information required to perform EM analysis and parasitic extraction from within the Analog Office design environment.

According to Graeme Ritchie, AWRs product manger for Analog Office: There have been numerous requests to add austriamicrosystems advanced S35 process to our PDK offering. Im very pleased now to be able to offer this SiGe PDK to AWRs Analog Office users and to leverage its cross tool accessibility via its Open Access roots.
